Hi - am waiting on my second T610 to be delivered (first
one on Orange had to go back due to lack of coverage - next
one will be on Vodafone) and was wondering about firmware
upgrades. The phone I had had a R1 version and should have
been upgraded but when I enquired at CPW they said it'd be
30ukpounds unless there was a fault with the phone.
Although there was no fault as such, I have heard that the
newer firmware is quicker and the photo's are a tad smaller
in (file) size.
I thought firmware upgrades were free for the first twelve
months (the warrantee period)? If so - where can I get it
done, while I wait, in a rough radius of 30miles from
Peterborough?
Thanks,

Far right hand side for SE service centres. Phone to find out if they can do
it while you wait. Going on my own experience with R's Electrics in London,
upgrade took 30mins & was free.

Thanks for that - looks like I have a bit of a journey to
get my phone upgraded then! No-where local at all.
Let's hope that my new one (should be here Friday) has an
up-to-date firmware version.....
