Just FTR: It's an aftermarket antenna, not the original.

No it's OEM. Now obsolete. Very good though, gives you about another
"bar" in poor reception areas.

What's "OEM"?

On
<http://www.handytuner.at/ausziehbare...-t28-a411.html>
they say:
| Optisch ident mit der Originalantenne.
which means "optically identical with the original antenna" -
which clearly states that it's aftermarket.

The IAT-10 is made by Ericsson. So I guess it would be considered an
OEM accessory?
But regardless of its designation, it's fantastic. Improves reception 1
to 2 bars, depending on your situation.
A necessity in San Francisco with chingular's ****ty coverage...

Original Equipment Manufacture. The IAT-10 is made by Ericsson.
It may be aftermarket, but it was designed by, and for the original
manufacturer of the equipment.

Re: Antenna high performance IAT 10 x T28/T39: searching...
Ericsson made the IAT-10 High Performance Antenna . It was not released in
USA, and is ocassionaly sought after by those "In the know" for the T28, T39
T380 and r520M or the so called "Sharks Tooth" Style Antenna. They are kinda
hard to come by and the only thing that concerns me is that A. I dont read
German (or whatever language it is I believe the company is in Austria) and
do not know exactly what it says. The real Ericsson model is sold on a
reatil cardboard card shrinkwrapped with plastic clearly showing that is
Ericsson.
FYI OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. Donates an item that is
manufactured by another company for the original manufacturer. Used quite
often when a product is sold in plain wrapper but yet is the real deal.As
time has gone on, OEM has been misused quite often. Kind of a great way to
explain the unknown. "Well whio makes it? It is an OEM" and that is kinda
the end of the story, and often not correct. Often people dont wish to show
their ignorance of the term and just let it slide. "OEM? Thats great! Always
wanted an OEM!" LOL
Here is a good definition from CNET. I persued this becuase the term is so
often brutilized, if I do one thing in this life I have helped spread the
truth of OEM.
OEM
original equipment manufacturer
Originally OEM was an adjective used to describe a company that produced
hardware to be marketed under another company's brand. Mitsumi, for example,
produced CD-ROM drives that dozens of companies would label as their own.
It's often now used as a verb, as in this sentence: "This CD-ROM drive is
OEM'd by Mitsumi."

Yes, but the item in question is *not* labelled IAT-10.
