This thread is fantastic, just what I needed after a hard day at work,
haven't laughed so much for ages : )

Top post or bottom post, noone can stop anyone doing what they prefer on
newsgroups so argument is pointless. And why do people feed those they
think are trolls? Bet all of those who say they're killfiling people don't
really do it 'cos they want to read what's said about them.

Please carry on, I've got half an hour before I go out and this is much more
    entertaining than phones!

Wrong again, I dont only reply to hills of beans, stupid.

In fact I doubt if I have ever actually replied to a hill of beans.

Basically, there is no true democracy. Switzerland is the closest
example of a Country that engages in true 'democracy'.

For a definition of 'democracy' might I suggest you read the numerous
academic txt books available on the subject? It's something I covered

Mindlessly silly. There are various types of democracy
and only a fool would be stupid enough to claim that
there is only one 'true' democracy.

You clearly are one of those fools.

    > Switzerland is the closest example of a
    > Country that engages in true 'democracy'.

Only if you are stupid enough to claim that a direct
vote on particular issues is the only 'true' democracy.

And even with the approach the swiss take, thats much more
complicated than it looks because no one, including the swiss,
actually get a direct vote on every bit of legislation and it only
gets enacted when it ends up with a majority voting for it.

AND even if that approach was taken, they certainly dont get
a direct vote line by line on the bits of every bit of legislation.

Even someone as stupid as you should
have noticed that that just aint feasible.

AND one of the VERY fundamental basis of any real democracy
is that some issues arent ever put to the vote, like say if morons
should be killed when identified, or whether its ever put to the
vote that just one religion is the only acceptible religion, etc etc etc.

    > For a definition of 'democracy' might I suggest you read
    > the numerous academic txt books available on the subject?

So you can take your suggestion and shove it up your arse.

There is no 'answer' you stupid pig ignorant child.

In some respects SOME of the american system is
much more democratic than anything the frogs have,
particularly with the referendums that some states have.

In other respects america is much worse,

More mindlessly silly stuff. Its got **** all to
do with whether some grossly inbred royals are

You can however make a case that the pom
