SE vs NOKIA

Why is it that these days Nokia is such crap and Sonyericsson is so good. In
the days of the 3810 & 6150 Nokia was making quality stuff, but now their
products are just toys & yuppie junk..............Look at the t68, after 2
years still selling for $500 here in Australia. No Nokia can do that. I had
my t68i for two years & still love it even though I just upgraded to a
P900........

Nokia 6310i, best phone on the market IMHO. No frills, no fuss, no silly
cameras or colour screens, it does what it says on the box, makes and
receives phone calls.

But the T68i is a horrible phone!
(IMHO)

2nd that.

Unfortunately R520m was more of a prototype phone rather fully marketed
ones.
Longer battery life than the T68[i] due to the monochrome screen.

You mean the 1228c? Got one here, a simple, no frills CDMA phone that
doesn't seem to have the legendary Ericsson firmware "issues".

after R8A upgrade*. About 3 weeks ago my Brother Bought a Z600, WHAT AN
AMAZING PHONE! - nothing from Nokia can match it, *7200 - tiny screen,
stupid keypadŽ, express-on FablonŽ.*

they see what my nokia does and cry...

and yes people love getting ripped off cuz they dont know whats
new.....after all stupid monkeys DO listen to the phone salesmen instead of
researching for themselves...

btw the sony screens are so crap, id use em as a toilet accessory...

With laughter.

Unlike yourself, I can see the up and downside to Nokias and Ericssons. The
Nokias (generally) feel cheap and plasticky and have to rely on such
gimmicks as X-Press on covers and FM radios. Ericssons on the other hand
are solidly built, reliable and have worthwhile features such as BlueTooth
that actually work without having to upgrade the firmware every other week
and sacrificing virgins to the Nokia CEO.

About the only thing in your post that makes any sense, and that I can agree
with. I did my research, and that's exactly why I bought Ericsson - because
at the end of the day Nokia only make one decent handset (6310i). If you
want a toy, by all means buy Nokia. If youwant a phone then you'll have to
look elsewhere. Ericsson or Samsung are usually a better bet.

Yeah, yeah. Go back to wanking over strip poker on your 3510i then, the
rest of us will enjoy the far superior screens fitted to the latest SE
offerings.

I would agree. My wife bought one but found it fiddly to use and hopeless
for receving texts with as the text alert tone was far too feeble. The
joystick is a horrible gimmicky thing to use and all in all, despite its
spec, an unpleasant little phone.

Changed it for a Nokia 6310i with which she is much happier. Yes Nokia do
make some duff phones but then so do SE.

I had a t68 for two years, and replaced it recently with a *Nokia* 6100.
