T610: Bluetooth "Code" Required When I Try To "BlueJack"
Not really interested in BlueJacking, but occasionally out of curiosity,
I do have a look to see what's "around". When I find some phone nearby,
my T610 seems to insist on my inputting some kind of Bluetooth "pass code"
before I can connect to the remote phone.
My old Siemens didn't make me do this.
What's this "pass code" all about? Is it really required by the Bluetooth
"protocol" now or something? Are there default values I can try entering?
TIA.

With bluejacking, when you find other BT phones, you don't connect to the
phone, you send your business card or a contact (with a funny comment as the
name) and the other phone automatically takes it and the person decides
whether to accept it or not.

I agree. To my knowledge you will only be asked for a code if you're trying
to pair your phone.

sounds like you are trying to pair phones. after you write your
message in contact field and saved it go to message and choose to
send, then via bluetooth, your phone will search for bluetooth devices
within range, when one pops up choose it and off should go the
contact. If you have any problems just pop over to the forums of
bluejackaddict.co.uk/forum/ i and many other helpful people there
should be able to help you further.
