Got it today and it rocks!

Absolutely brilliant piece of kit which I would highly recommend to anybody
wanting to transfer pics, music, themes etc to a T610 or all of these from
the phone back to your PC. It does much more than that obviously.

Combined with the MyT610 site (http://onlyt610.lasyk.com/) this phone is
turning out to be a great buy. Now to get them both talking to my Palm PDA
    :-)

    Thanks for the advice.

    T610 and ringtones

I've just got a T610 and want to use some of my mp3 ringtones on it. I've
used bluetooth to transfer them and can see them in the sounds viewer on
the phone but they will not play when I press 'play'.

Is there something I need to do to make them playable? Does the T610 play
    mp3s even?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    T610 doesn't support MP3's.

    Nope, use MIDI's instead.

    Ah! Thanks Richard.

Another question then: can mp3s be converted into midis (and if so, how!)?

If you want them to sound nothing like the original, it is possible, but the
results are truly abysmal - don't bother, just stick with the MIDI's.

    No.

MP3 is a digially compressed recording. a Midi file "plays" a built in
synth within the phone itself to make the sound. Like a little guy
inside playing a piano rather than playing the CD - if you see what I
    mean!

I have an MP3 of someone speaking which I had wanted to use on the T610.

If I could find someone to sit inside the phone, would MIDI work then?

Anyone wnat to volunteer to be the little guy inside the phone!?

Only those with a loud voice need apply...
