i am facing a strange problem with my T290i. It is just kept and it
just reboots by itself. I do nothing. Once this happened I switched it
on it said Charging error stop charging. It was not connected to the
charger. All this happened by itself. I try to access sounds, pictures
folder it just reboots or either hangs. I tried using a different sim
card and putting the battery in again but that does not help.
Any help out there.

Which Network are you one?
Reason for asking is that i had 2 Ericssons on Orange - T39m and T68i.
Both would reboot by them selves every 7 minutes under specofic
circumstances thus:
1 - no signal
2 - magic word set
3 - phf kit connected
To make matters worse - I had a SIM PIN set up wo shen it rebooted in
my pocket - it was useless as it sat there waiting for me to put the
PIN code in....

I am on Hutch, India. I think it is a part of Orange too. But i don't
think my problem is related to network, as i tried out a different sim
(of different operator) and also tried an old disabled sim that i had.
what do you mean by magic word set and phf kit.

Sorry for delay in responding - work etc...
phf - portable hands free kit - ear - piece and mic
magic word... SEs have the ability to set a "magic word" which will
initiate voice dialling when spoken and removes the ned to touch the
phone at all!!
