    HF is still a great thrill. A friend just handed me a pile of boxes
    to install into his new 41' ketch. One of the boxes was an Icom M802
    marine HF SSB (150W) and Icom AT-140 antenna tuner for the insulated
    backstay off the mainmast. I worked Switzerland and Hawaii last night
    on it...(c;

    How about those antennas that turn your entire home into a gigantic cell
    phone antenna? p.s. they also work on 11 meters!! ( if you can
    tolerate the qrm )

    I'm doing that on my friend's 41' cruising ketch...."Turn your whole
    sailing rig into a giant HF antenna system"....(c;

    Now if the damned sunspots would cooperate a little better....the
    bands just suck right now.

    Hehe, these things were being given away FOR FREE from many companies, I
    don't see how you can beat that price, unless you're planning on PAYING ME
    to take them???
