I need any or all the cell phone carriers smtp email addresses for
Europe, Korea and Japan. I have many things to trade.

    For example: Verizon = ##########@vtext.com.

I would like to know who the carriers are in Europe, Korea and Japan
as well as their email/smtp addresses for their users.

Although I have 900 polyphonic ringtones in my personal collection
that I use for development, I can give you unlimited access to a
website (www.itsmycellphone.com) where you can upload unlimited images
and tones to your phone. I want to open this service up to Europe and
    Asia.

Write to: googleATitsmycellphone.com - you need to substitute "@" for
"at" in the email address - I don't need anymore spammers sucking my
    address down from here!

I'm confused about your question. Do you mean smtp server addresses? A
search on http://groups.google.com for 'each carrier + settings + smtp'
should find them. Of course you should not be able to use them unless
connected to their own network. The normal form is smtp.network.domain.

What do you mean by Verizon = ##########@vtext.com ? A server having an
    email address? Please elucidate.

He worded his request badly, I think. I *think* I've seen that address bef=

and that's the address to send a text message to a Verizon phone via email,=

I recall it correctly. Ours would be ##########@messaging.sprintpcs.com

If that's what he wants, he sure didn't ask for it. That's not smtp. More=

What's funny is, the most likely reason to want this would be to spam them,
and then he complained about not wanting spam.

Stu . . . pardon my parlance as well as my affinity for alliterative!

    Thank you for your reply.

I guess what I wanted were the email addresses to text message each
carrier in Europe and Asia. Yes, like
    (number)@messaging.springpcs.com or (number)@mobile.att.net.

So, in other words, you want to spam all the cellular users ... If that's
the case and if I get a TM from you, I'm going straight to your provider and
complain like hell ... as will many others ...

Maybe you're not up to speed on current events pal, but people don't
particulary LIKE spam. No, not when it arrives on their cell phones either.

Be smart, and forget all about that idea.

Don't be foolish Bob. Why assume the worse? Go to
www.itsmycellphone.com. I want to make my service available to
Europeans who are already hitting the site (even though it isn't
    done).

You're right - you're just "guessing." I hate spam too.

    No blood, no foul.

Joe, it's not being foolish to want to get unwanted TM's ... In saying that,
I did go to your site, and it's looking pretty good, save there is nothing
    there for mobile sports yet.

I noticed that the legalese posted on your site is minimal to say the least.
In fact, there isn't any ... So then, the next question is: Are you planning
to market your customer list to other marketing firms? There is nothing that
I could find which said you wouldn't ...

Some networks started providing this facility - but because of the obvious
spam vulnerability and the consequent opporobium of their users - withdrew
the facility or made it only available on request. So - you can effectively
rule the UK out of your plans - and much of Europe I guess.

Also I note you are collecting personal information with no assurance any EU
data is kept in 'safe harbor' (http://www.ita.doc.gov/td/ecom/menu.html). If
so, this is illegal. OK nobody can prosecute you unless you have some EU
presence but knowingly trading illegally is not what ethical businesses do.

As you may gather - people (and governments) see things differently in other
parts of the world. And not just over Iraq :-(

And even if there were, the track record of businesses with private
information is so unbelievably awful that it would be pretty close to
idiotic to share an email address which implies your cell number with
anyone who maintains lists at all.

Hello Bob - no we are not giving away any information and thank you
for the observation. I'll make sure we post a privacy policy and so
    on.

We have no intention of doing anything other than provide a service to
our subscribers. The members pay for a service and they receive what
    they pay for. Nothing else.

Again, thanks for the excellent observation about the lack of info on
    the site.
