t610 Sync wont install

When I try to install the sync software suppleid with the phone, I get the
error message "Outlook must be run before installing".

I have tried it with outlook running, I have tried it with outlook not
runnning, get the same message.

Using outlook 97

It probably means, "Outlook NOT FROM PREVIOUS MILLENNIUM must be run before
installing".

In other words: time to upgrade...

have to agree with that. as the synching is a fairly new concept, they have
not made it backwards compatible....upgrade!!

Need (and strongly recommend that you do upgrade to) Outlook 2000 or higher.

Your OS needs to be Win98 SE or higher.

I am using MS Outlook Express 6 with XP and I have the same problem.

Is there another solution ?
