I've transferred most of my stuff from a P800 to a P900, but I'm
struggling to figure out how to get the inbox/sent items of my SMS
onto the P900. I know I can't backup from one and restore onto the
other, and the normal syncing doesn't back them up either. I've got
various important things which have been texted to me, so I'd like to
transfer them to the P900!! Any ideas? I'm not adverse to buying some
software if there's an application that will do it for me!
Cheers

http://www.softandwireless.com/SMSFolder.html
or
http://my-symbian.com/uiq/applicatio...Auto=203&faq=2
(Same app)
I am also pretty sure that you can extract the sms data from a backup
(the backup file is just a renamed zip file).
Might be worth a forum search at esato or my-symbian to get the
details.

OK cheers for that. I've now tried that app and although it got the
texts from the old phone onto the new one, it doesn't seem able to
actually put them into the phone's inbox and sent box on the new one,
and so they just remain within the app - which is a bit of a bummer
really! Thanks anyhow!

May lead you in the right direction but I guess it depends on the way
the 900 deals with messages.
well worth a post to esato or my-symbian if you dont get it sorted
using the above.
