    Basically, no.

MIDI is not simply a different audio file format, it is basically a set
of instructions. Think of trying to "convert" a complicated symphony played
by a large orchestra into musical notation written on a page. A very
competant musician might be able to do it (to some extent), but it is beyond
the capability of home computers. Creating an accurate MIDI file based on
recorded audio is not something you will be able to do well at home for some
years at least (except in the case of very simple "music")

    Yes and no.

You *can* convert recordings to MIDI. There is a program called Mobile AMR,
available from http://www.myt610.net/preview.php?id=1833. This will convert
the AMR recording to a WAVE file, then you can use a WAVE to MIDI converter,
which are available all over the internet.

But, these will sound awful. You cannot represent your own recordings as
    MIDI.
