    I don't have Outlook.
Is there ANY way other than one-at-a-time to move 300-400 contacts to the
    T610?

If the other phone has IR or bluetooth capability, you could do it that way
by using the "send all" option in the phonebook and ensuring bluetooth or IR
was enabled. Another option is to swap SIM cards and copy from one SIM card
    to the phone.

1 Upload [send] your present T610 phonelist to your computer, using
    bluetooth, IR or cable.

2 look at that file with a simple editor

3 build a new file like that with any means you are confident with
editor [with a macro?], excel, any computer language, holding your data.

4 upload from computer to phone.

    Done.

I know that this is not for every one. The siple way seems to be using
Outlook, but I personally will not touch that programme.

    btw:
Using Float's Mobile Agent is not a bad choice either.

    What are you moving from?
If another SE phone you can just "send all" by Bluetooth or IR

I'm sorry - not enough information.

The phonebook currently resides in a Palm (IR or serial, no Bluetooth). I
can move it to the PC, then convert to any of several formats. The objective
is to get the data into the T610.

I beamed some of my pilot phonebook to a T616 using IR. On my Palm,
I can beam an individual entry or a whole category.

I think that that the format used by the T610 is vCard (I could be wrong
though). I got all of my contacts into Lotus Organiser. Exported them as
vCard records, then copied the file to the T610. It all worked really
    easily.

Turn on IR on the T610, then beam your contacts (either one at a time
or in groups, depending on the address book software you have on the
palm) to the T610. The T610 will ask whether to add the received
    contact to the phone book.
