I haven't got the official uils, but am using a stand-alone Bluetooth
    USB connecter.

I can get the PC and phone to see each other, but whenever I try to
connect the two, I'm asked for a Bluetooth password.

I can't find mention of a password in the manual, and have tried the
codes that were supplied with it, to no effect.

    Any ideas ?

    thanks.

    Yep - that did it.

Also, I had to move the phone over to the 'approved' connections.

Now, all I need to do is work out how to upload pics. I can download,
    but not upload...

This is for a V500, but should work on your V525. (Using a Belkin USB BT
    dongle)

Assuming you have paired the phone with the PC...
Right click the file you want to send to the phone
    Point to "Send to..."
    Click "Bluetooth"
    Select your phone
    Click OK

If it doesn't work first time, try again, but this time do it within 60
seconds of selecting "Find Me" in the phones Bluetooth menu.
