I bought a MPx 200 and the Backup Battery has read 90% since I first charged
it. I was told at the shop to let it discharge till it turned itself off and
then give a full charge as new but still it reads 90% can some one help or
give a reason.

It's a good battery and a phone that doesn't use much power. Just
leave it on 24/7 and use it when you need it and it will eventually
shut off.
(If it never does you may have discovered an entirely new source of
power. Just don't be there when the aliens come to collect on the
bill.)

FWIW Just found out that although the software says it has a backup battery
that is reading 90% it actualy does not have nor need a backup battery as it
uses flash memory.
