I've just got the V600 phone on an online o2 contract. It's great and all,
but would be interested to know a few things.

Does anyone know about flashing or upgrading the software on the phone?
Would flashing the phone or upgrading the software on it add/remove any
features? For instance, the only bluetooth devices you seem to be able to
find are headsets - my friends seem to be able to find my phone using there
    sony ericsson t610s.

I also was wondering about anyone else's experiences with bluetooth pairing
with a mac? Haven't tried this yet but I've ordered a bluetooth dongle. I'm
guessing isync doesn't work, but would like to transfer contacts, dates and
files to and from my phone somehow.

On another note, has anyone got instant messaging set up on there phone?
The V600 has an IM function and o2 mention instant messaging, but not how
to go about setting it up.

    Cheers!

I don't know about the other questions (being a nokia user) but AFAIK the
only IM o2 offer is via software (AIM or ICQ) downloadable from the o2
Active service and it costs 75p a day to use.

Check it out in the "What's New" section on o2 Active.

As an aside to my reply, while looking for further info about IM on the o2
website I noticed that demon are to start charging per Mb for GPRS WAP
access from the 1st of March. I don't know how much IMing you'd want to do
but I'd imagine it could get pretty expensive.

If they had been charging, WAP access would have cost me £33.84 since the
    middle of December!

    (31.49MB at £2.35 per MB)

I don't think I'll be using Active after the 1st of March. I mean it's not
like Active offers anywhere near the quality or amount of content as T-Zones
    or Vodafone Live.
