I got some software with mine that installs different drivers allowing you
to do so, however the stuffs pretty horrible. I'd rather use the original
windows drivers for bluetooth and phonetools to get stuff off it.

I`m on 98SE and only have the drivers that came with the bluetooth device
itself - any suggestions on alternative software I could use ?
I was quite surprised that the phone has no "send to bluetooth" options
for pictures etc - as it is, the only way I can see of getting the
pictures off the phone would be to send them as an email - and I don`t
seem to be able to get that to work anyway...

There's no explicit "send" command. Use the "Move" or "Copy" commands in
the menu when you have selected an object.
Email needs specific settings for your ISP and/or Cellular SP - check their
web-site for details.
