hello, i just got this usb cable for this phone and i wanted to unlock it to
use it on verizon. this phone was used on the att network before. when i
click on menu>settings>security it goes to a thing called "phone lock"
underneath that is something called "lock application". Are these for the
att lock which prevents me from using it on verizon or are these just for
preventing somebody from using your phone with out your permission.
Also,if this isnt the att lock, how and where can i get a free piece of
unlocking software?? i already have the usb cable to interface the phone.
    thanks

Re: motorola 60i (T) unlock code question.

Don't bother unlocking it. An AT&T phone will not work on Verizon even
if it's unlocked. AT&T uses TDMA and Verizon uses CDMA. Same phone on
the outside, different radio on the inside. Not compatible at all. Only
AT&T and Cingular (who just bought AT&T) use TDMA. Sorry, but if you
want to use Verizon you'll need a different phone.

CDMA is used by Verizon & Sprint, T-Mobile is GSM only, AT&T and
Cingular have both TDMA and GSM networks but diffent phones are required
for each (except for one or two multi-band phones).
