    Hi everyone,

I live in NYC, and have found Verizonwireless to be good
provider here, strong signals even underground. I upgraded my account
with a new two year contract last year, along with a Samsung a 310,
which I promptly lost. I've replaced with the Kyocera 2325, which I
really like, better in fact than the clamshell type. Save for one
problem, I'm a bit hard of hearing, and while I have little trouble
talking on cells, I can't hear them ring. I keep my 2325 set to
vibrate only, but I still miss calls.

Then I heard some of the Motorola's. In particular the I 95
Nextel. I could hear someone else's ringer while under his coat from
one yard away. That was impressive.

I visited the VW store here, and heard the v 60 s, which
because of its speakerphone also has an impressive ringer. But I'm
reminded that the 2325's were also intended to be speakerphones until
disabled by Verizon. Is there any way to enable the speaker on the
Kyocera, at least to run the ringer through it? Or is a new phone
necessary? If the latter, are Motorola's the best in terms of both
loudless & lower frequency alerts? Are there any other models,
particularly less expensive ones, that use lower frequency ringers?

    TIA

The LG VX4400 has a loud standard ringer and a ring vibrate mode.
