Upload and Download data from V66 phone. How to program for the Mac?

I would like to upload a phone list to my V66 phone or download.
I use a Mac and it seems that software is not available other than for
the PC.
Since I have had programming experience in 'C', I would like to create
a simple program that would allow me to manage my phone list on my
Mac.
Could anyone offer some help where I could get some tech data to get
this project started?
