I travel throughout Florida and always used my trusty Nokia 5165 which
provided me with great reception and very little black holes, if you
will. Well, as time wore on I wanted a smaller profile so I swapped
my Nokia for a Motorola v60i, kept the same service provider, and made
the change. I asked the AT&T rep about it's power and she said that
all cells "pretty much" work on the same wattage. I'm not idiot and
that sounded like a load of crap, but I had owned Motorola phones in
the past and had good luck with them and afterall , it was free, with
a new contract agreement, (geez I'm an idot) so I took it.

Since then I am experiencing 3 times the black holes and 50% of my
calls sound like a robot. I am on a family plan with 3 other v60i's
and all are having the same issue. Lack of oooompf.

Which brings me to my question. Or two.

Do phones have different recievers or something that help them recieve
signals? My Nokia did a far better job of delivering service.

and secondly,

Any suggestions for a phone that will pull in the signals better. (I
know I have to spend some cash now)

Thanks for any help....Sorry for borring you.
