Check SIM error on M720

After entering the PIN on startup of my 720 I get "Check
SIM". I've removed, cleaned and replaced the SIM, but no
luck. My provider has referred it to techsupport, but I
wondered if anyone here might have any suggestions to fix
this? Thanks.
