V600 Missed Call Beep?

My other Motorola phones beeped once and a while if there was an e-mail or
missed call message pending. My V600 doesn't do this. I've set the
"reminder" ring style detail to beep or vibrate with no effect. Am I missing
a setting or have they not implemented this feature?

Missed calls works on my V500 - once a minute, with the Reminder set to
"Beep". Message alerts are a separate setting, I think.
