Software Questions

I'm new to the forum and hope someone out there can help me out. I have a V300 and just got the sync cable and software but the software seems to be severely lacking. I want something more intuitive that lets me compose multilayered ringtones as well as edit mp3 files to use as ringtones. I also want a more intuitive program that allows me to create animated screen savers and better wallpapers for the phone. Does anyone out there have an opinion on what software works best as I know there are quite a few programs online for making polyphonic ringtones and such (it doesn't have to be freeware I'll pay for it if its worth it). I'd appreciate any advice you can give me.
