Motorola V710 had full page ad in People this week. Seems
like it should be getting close to being available. The "V" is
for Verizon I'm assuming(?), since I haven't seen it available for
other services either.

Re: Mototola Bluetooth accessory V710
Articles in magazines or newspapers have nothing to do with when a phone is
released. That phone won't be fully released until maybe this winter. And
when it does, my god all the bugs it's going to have. You won't believe how
many problems they're going to have with it...and this is why it's called
the V710. Several months after Verizon uses it's own paying customer's to
test the V710 they will make another model called the V720. And all the
idiots who bought the V710 who gave Verizon free R&D will be screwed and
won't be able to upgrade to the V720. It's typical with this company....and
you will see how exactly I'm correct about this. Verizon DOES use it's own
customer's for R&D and while it sucks the money out of the phone purchases
from you they don't give you any rebates or benefits on a purchase of the
final/fixed phone. Yea, it's a scam, but for some reason people do it.

Re: Mototola Bluetooth accessory V710
I was up in the NY/NJ area and they told me this phone won't be out in
the stores until late August. First it was in mid March, then late
June, then early July, then late July, then early August, etc. This is
really beginning to piss me off! My old phone is on its last legs - and
I can hardly hear anyone I talk to on the phone, the headset jack is
busted, and the Verizon tech geeks tell me they can't open the set up
and solder the headset jack onto the board, so they want me to buy a new
phone. The problem is that the phone I want to buy isn't out yet, and
may not be out for a while, so they want me to piss away money on a
phone that I iwll only use for what might be days to months. If I see
that geek on TV again asking "can you head me know?", I want to take my
old V120E and shove it in his ear!
I already have a bunch of accessories for the Motorola phones and don't
want to have to buy them for another brand, but this crap with the V710
is really pissing me off! Is the hold up on Motorola's end or with
Verizon trying to get them to disable features (downloadable ringtones,
games, etc.) so you have to purchase them through Verizon?
