V600 SMS Capacity...

Just got my v600, and the incoming message capacity seems to be an
almost unusable 10 messages! Did a google search and found some
people seeming to say that they had found a way to store more than
this - but couldn't find the actual details!

Does anyone have any tips as to how I can do this? Or can I somehow
create an 'archive' folder on the phone and transfer messages to that
once I'm done with them?

Thanks!
Tom Wright

My V500 stores 20 - but my suspicion is that is the SIM capacity. (I
didn't know the V500 could store them in the phone - can it?).

I'll have to have a play with it later....

Very strange - that suggests to me that maybe it's a firmware issue -
are there multiple firmwares for the v600? And if so, is it easy to
change?...

Thanks!

Correct.

A firmware upgrade should resolve your problem.

Re: V600 SMS Capacity...

whether the messages are stored on the sim or in the phone are determined by
the operator settings in their flex file. Thats why it varies from one oper
to the next
