[V300][V600] Phonebook backup csv file decoded?

Hi,

I have a V300 whose firmware was flashed with the V600s.=20
When using Mobile Phone Tools under WinXP to create a backup of the
phonebook, you get a .csv file, a kind of simple spreadsheet whose
columns are separated by semicolons. Now I managed to figure out on my
own what kind of data most of these columns contain, but for others, I
remain clueless. Can anyone give me a hint?

The files' topmost lines are for the categories and look something
like this:

CATEGORY;1;General;255;0

with the columns meaning:

[this is a category];[number.];[cat. name];[ringer-ID];?

The ringer ID column has the entry "255" for "none selected" or else
the corrsponding ringtone's number.=20

I am at a slight loss however for the last column; it appears to be
alsways "0" if no ringer-ID is selected, but as soon as one is
selected it gets switched to "255".

After the categories, there are the lines for the phonebook entries,
13 columns for those stored to the phone (less for those stored to the
SIM), looking something like this:

PHONE;7;Doe John;+491765465476;3;0;21;0;0;4;255;255;0

standing for=20
[storeto];[speed-no];[Name];[phone-no./E-mailadress];[Type];?;[ringer-ID]=
;?;?;[category];?;?

and you can enter the following data into each slot as far as I
managed to find out:
storeto: PHONE or SIM;
speed-no;Name;phone-no are self-explanatory;
Type: 0:work/1:home/2:main/3:mobile/4:fax/5ager/6.E-mail
ringer-ID: ringtone number, or "255" for "none selected"
category: again self-explanatory.

But can anyone enlighten me as to columns 6, 8, 9, 12 and 13?

When adding an additional mobile number to an existing main entry
using the phone's <more> function, column 6 of that main entry
switches from 0 to 1.

When now adding an additional E-mail adress, the main entry's column 6
seems to switch back to 0.

And when assigning different (custom) ringtones to all these three
entries, the main entry's column 6 is again set to 1.

Adding pictures or voice dial didn't seem to change anything.

Regards
Radbert

Well, the 255 is obviously an 8-bit code that signifies all bits are
turned on (or set to one (1)) as opposed to all bits set to zero (0)
where all bits are turned off.

hope this helps
sounds like your having fun
