V525 and call forwarding with Cingular

I bought a V525 off EBay, but I can't figure out how to do call forwarding
with it. The Call Divert I want to leave to voice mail. (Maybe I don't
understand what that is.) I just want to forward calls to my work number
when I'm at work. With the Nokia 6340i I had the fast forward device, but
you could also set up forwarding without that. I guess I can go to the Web
site and do it from there if I have to.

Thanks.

The V525 is a version of the V500 made for Vodafone UK. You might need to
get it reflashed with a standard firmware version.

(I've never heard of this call forwarding thing, is it anything like
Orange UK's Everyphone service?)

I don't know about Orange. I also didn't know the 525 was made for
Vodafone. I should have put I am in the US. The fast forwarding just
allows you to put the phone in a cradle where it charges and also all calls
are routed to a designated number without coming out of your plan minutes.
It's $2.99 a month. You can also forward from the phone itself (6340i) to
do the same thing. Once you remove from the cradle (or turn off from the
phone) it goes back to normal.

I guessed you were - I've roamed on Cingular in the Carolinas.

It's nothing like Everyphone - but it does sound like a pretty nifty idea.

But, I suspect that to support this you'll either need a "standard"
firmware loaded into your phone, or one specially made for Cingular.
