Does anyone have anything good or bad to say about the V710. I am up for
renewal and can get one for $50.00

Better snatch it up for that price! I've got one and while it's not perfect,
it's much better than anything else I've had!

    Re: Thoughts on V710

I picked up a V710 about three weeks ago and love it. The camera is
something I really didn't need or want and I am glad as it is not
worth very much as far as I am concerned.

It is very clear both transmitting and receiving with more than enough
volumn. If you have had a T720 or 730 you will love it. The screens
are great. The center transistion keys are small but using a
    fingernail is mighty helpful.

All in all, I have had nothing but great success with mine and would
advise it. I use the Verizon system.

    Re: Thoughts on V710

I agree with your general review (that the 720 is a very good phone) except
    in two small areas.

I don't use the camera either, but from what I see, it is a fairly good,
functional camera capable of over 1M in resolution- not bad for something of
this type. If a camera-phone is something one wanted, I don't think they
can do much better than this phone. It would have been nice had Motorola
allowed for transferring the pictures directly to a computer.

And, second, the vibra-alert, a function I rely on much of the time, stinks.
It is too weak to feel much of the time, making it unreliable to me. The
vibra-alert in my V60i was perfect in that regard. I hate when people's
phones ring in restaurants, movie theaters, and at meetings, don't you?

Generally speaking, I think Motorola should work on building a better PHONE
(which includes a usable vibra-alert) rather than a better GADGET.
