It works with the Mac and iSynch. If it doesn't work with your computer
and software, it's probably not the fault of the phone.

This is an excellent point, Jon. For my tastes, based on the tone of his
posts, Lawrence is way too emotional and overreactive. It prevents his
thinking from being clear and objective. I believe it also prevents him
from getting what he wants/needs, either out of things or out of people.

Calm down, fella. Take a breath.

I don't believe Motorola uses Qualcomm chipsets. IIRC they've always "rolled
    their own."

You apparently knew that the bluetooth was 'crippled' when you got the
phone, so any improvement in that situation is a bonus eh? I knew that MPT
was not fully working with the V710, so I got Verizon wireless Mobile
office kit when I got my V710 and that works fine to synch contacts. I use a
transflash card to transfer pictures, videos, and ringtones back and forth
between the phone and PC. Works great!

This is why I find Nokia phones superior to any other model/brand out there.
Their software for using with your computer is completely free and works
with Outlook and/or it's own contact list software. Nokia is years ahead of
Motorola with this type of procedure and always has be. Too bad Verizon's
phone list doesn't carry more Nokia phones...and I have a feeling why.
Because the software is free and Verizon won't get more money from you.
