Hi,
I've had a V600 for about 2 weeks now and I have a major problem with
the memory. I have a total of 12 photos stored in the memory totalling
121.94Kb. The majority of contact no's are held on SIM memory. I have
no extra ringtones except the ones which came with the phone.
I cannot take a photo because the memory is supposedly full. It will
only store about 7 txt before saying memory full. I've cleared the web
cache, deleted the history and done everything I can to try freeing up
some memory.
It's got to the stage that I can't even look at a WAP page without it
shutting down as there is no free memory for cache.
I used to have much more than 12 photos stored and didn't have these
problems. I though the phone had 6MB memory? Is there a simple
solution to my problems? Perhaps the memory is fragmented. Please help
I'm going mad with it.
Cheers
Kev

Then you will have to find out what is occupying that much memory. Usually
its pictures or ringtones. It is very unusual to have that much memory used.

I've looked at the free space meter and it shows that the total phone
memory is 140Kb. Is this correct? I was sure it held more?

Hmmm, I deleted a few photos and it now says. Total 49Kb, used: 33.8,
free 15.2Kb. It is absolutely screwed up.
I'd love to take it back but I bought it from orange online. So I
guess I'll phone them.
Presume it'll be the usual, "it's the manufacturers problem not ours"
and vice versa.
Any advice PLEASE!! Is there such a thing as a Motorola service centre
where I can take it? Ideally in Hull. It's only a few weeks old.
Why do thing NEVER go SMOOTHLY?

Life would be no fun then lol
This is why I buy my cellphones from Future Shop or Best Buy, that way I get
the extended warranty and don't worry about it. I have had 2 phones
replaced already, one from each of em.
