I have a Motorola T731c CDMA cellphone. I also have a Motorola No.
98571 USB data cable with Mobile Phone Tools ver. 2.0 installed on my
COMPAQ Presario 1200 notebook computer running WIN 2000 PRO. My ISP
is ATMC(my local telephone company) -- I have ADSL with a dial-up
number option activated. My cellphone service provider is U.S.
Cellular. The notbook also has an internal dial-up modem which works
with the ATMC dial-up number, but I have not found the right
configuration to get my cellphone dial-up link working. I suspect
that I do not have some of my network settings set up correctly, but
have not been able to find any of the support persons (U.S. Cellular,
Motorola, or ATMC modem) that are able to help me. The phone
communicates with the notebook for all other functions (phonebook,
etc). When I try to dial-up, the cell phone dials correctly and
indicates that it is connecting at 14.4, but when it gets to the modem
"handshake" process, it does not connect and the message that follows
is "NO ANSWER". Have any of you been through this learning process?
If so, can you offer me some advice on what to do, or where to go for
additional information. I have searched the Google Newgroups but have
not found anything that has helped me.

Thanks in advance for any help!!!!
