Odd problem with Virgin/V220 menu options

Having recently got a Virgin V220 I've encountered a problem with the menu
options.

Symptoms:
The "phone book" option seems to have been overwritten by the "virgin
extras" (VE) menu option. This is apparent insofar as the top left option
the main menu area (the one with the 9 icons) has been replaced by the VE
option even though it's also a sub option in the Office sub-menu.
What's more having done a complete master reset I've got the phone book back
as one of the four fast options on the main screen, but if I go through the
personalise options then it's not there to select, but the VE stuff is.

So, I've got PK2Man, I've got the MPT software, I can connect to my phone
via my PC, what can I do to rectify this, either by ditching the VE stuff
completly, or by changing what I'm assuming is the shortcut option back to
my phone book.

Thanks for any genius types who help!

Andy
