How many phone numbers do you have stored? Do you have any messages in
    the outbox / saved?

I too had the same problem with phone memory full.
I wanted the extras that accompany storing phone number to phone memory
rather than SIM memory. With fewer than 200 numbers, phone memory was
    max'd out.
Only solution on my t720 was to move virtually all phonebook entries to
    SIM memory.

mobile Phone Tools is the quickest way.
First backup the phone memory to PC.
Then just copy all phonebook entries to PC, erase numbers on phone, set
preferences to "write to SIM first", then copy numbers from PC back to t720.

I have not found a way to keep all those neat number and dialing
features using this procedure. Guess it's just aged Motorola technology
not keeping pace with our expectations.
