I just got a Motorola T722i after several years with a ATTWS TDMA plan.
I ditched ATT and went to T-Mobile.

I have a few questions about the SIM card and the phonebook.
I know I can now store phone numbers directly to the SIM card instead
of the phone. This is a good thing since it'll let me take my phone
numbers to a new phone in the future.

If I go into the phone book and edit an entry to change it from SIM
to Phone, does it actually move the entry or just make a copy?
Also, how can I tell where each entry is coming from? I don't see any
options to tell it where to get numbers from.

    Re: T22i SIM Question

Try the "write to SIM first" setting in the sync options of MPT.
Works for me and several Motorola T-series, V600, and V690.

    Re: T22i SIM Question

MPT is "mobile Phone Tools" found bundled with Motorola phones or with
cables to connect your PC with the cell phone.

Try eBay or Google for "Mobile PhoneTools version 2.0, CD ROM with USB
data cable - Motorola Part #98571". The program will automatically
upgrade to v3.11 after installation and first run.

MPT is a bit user UNfriendly. Others may recommend some other program
for data exchange btwn PC and phone, boy this MPT is a Motorola
    compatible program for certain.
