Hi. I just purchased a V551, having previously been a Nokia owner.
My phonebook was able to be transferred to my new V551 at the Cingular dealer. I asked if there was an end-user program to do that but the sales agent did not know.
With the Nokia, I used a proprietary serial cable and a proprietary Nokia program that stored the phone numbers on my PC; in the event of a melt-down, the phone numbers were available.
I would like to know what the best strategy is for backing up the phonebook. I don't know anything yet about Bluetooth but if there is a program that can be used, I would be grateful to know the name.
Thanks

Re: V551---how to backup phonebook?
http://www.mobiledit.com is not a bad program. I think it is still
immature, but works well on my V551 (I use the V505) and it works.
