    Hello,

I just got a Razr V3, as well as the mini-USB cable and Mobile Phone
Tools version 2.0 disk. I'm having some trouble getting things to
connect right to my computer runnin Windows XP.

When I go through the software installation, things seem to go well. I
create a new profile, select 'usb', then plug in my phone and see the
clock pop up as my "phone is being installed and set up." I then get a
window where I get to pick which device to use (either 'other devide',
Lucent Win Modem or Motorola USB Modem). I pick 'Motorola USB Modem'
and have to pick a device from the list. This may be my problem...
since I don't see anything about the Razr V3, I go with the Generic GSM
    Driver, and click finish.

It then pops up an interface that is some other Motorola phone. I
tried playing with some of the options (like looking at my phone book),
and that worked, so I know that there is some sort of functioning
    connection.

The problem is that the interface is not the Razr V3, and I am not able
to get full functionality out of the software (I can't do anything with
    ringtones or downloading my photos).

Am I just using the wrong skin? Or am I doing something more seriously
    wrong?

    I'd appreciate any help.

    Thanks,
    Ben

Nevermind... I did a live update on MPT and things worked.

If you'd hooked it up to a Mac you'd have spent less time setting it up than
you did just _writing_ down everything you did to hook it up to XP......

Good - a Mac user with a Razr V3m. Have you tried to re-enable OBEX
file-transfer yet? I can sync iCal & my addresses via Bluetooth and
iSync, but I'd like to be able to pull my pictures out of my phone
without having to pay Verizon for emailing them. Can you tell me what
    you did? Thanks
