It worked right away, Steve. I use it regularly on my Dell Axim X50v
PDA
(Microsoft Windows Mobile 2003).
The V710 manual said to follow the directions in the manual of the accessing
device, so I did exactly that. The directions in my Dell Axim manual told me
what to do. Since it contains a Dell connection wizard, it probably doesn't
apply to your iPac, but I bet it is analogous.
The result is pure exhilaration! As long as my phone is within about 30
meters (much father then the documetation claims), I get a solid 14.4 kbps
data connection. The phone recognizes it as a data call and shows the fixed
data rate on the outside display (but it is not billed as such -- just
normal minutes or even free evening+in net minutes).
