I know there are all the apologist out there who continue to sing the
praise of mPT but certainly not from this quarter. And for the record
I own Motorola stock. But the product reminds me of Quickbooks
because both of them are crap.
After finally giving up on mPT I decided to remove it from my system.
The least you could expect would be a CLEAN removal. Didn't happen.
Not only did the removal leave the installation directory but also
left the watchdog process installed and a "outl97.dll" plugin linked
to Outlook.
Perhaps the Executives at Mortola should invest just a little more in
a qualified QA Department before putting junk on the street and
requiring those of us who bought the V3 to pay even more for the crap.

Try DataPilot. They now support the v3.

For you. Works well here.

Your complaint is better directed at BVRP -- Motorola is just a licensee.

Really? How would you know? As I said, it works well here.

QED ==> Only someone with "limited ability to evaluate software" would
conclude "it works well here".
That's why!

That's ridiculous. If it works reliably for him (as it does for me),
then even if it's not the most sophisticated piece of code it's at least
working reliable as it was designed and, indeed it "works well here."

The point is Navas is too ignorant to know whether the software is working
properly or not.

Well, I've never met the man so I don't know. MPT is working as it's
supposed to for me - in other words, it starts up and finds my phone
both via USB cable and BT, and all the funtions work as advertised.

Then you must be "ignorant" too, since your experience doesn't support the
popular rant-de-jour either.

Re: mobile Phone Tools - The SW That Continues to Haunt You!
I agree with Harpocrates, it gives the same dialog box every time I open the office outlook:
The Add-in "mobile PhoneTools" (C:\Programs Files\mobile PhoneTools\Outl97.dll) cannot be loaded and has been disable by Outlook. Please contact the Add-in manufacturer for an update. If no update is avaible, please unistall the Add-in.
Don't know what to do any more??? I've unistalled the sofware and the same message is back, even I've unistalled the office and installed back again, but same message...what a crap of software of my cellphone.
