Creating Your Own Ringtones

There was a post, that I cannot seem to find any longer (computer decided to
go crazy at the time I was reading it), on how to create your own ringtones
for your cell phone. If the person who was talking about it happens to read
this message please email me on how you created your own ringtones, software
used and in idiot terms (for myself) how to do it. Thanks.

There was a recent post about just taking any audio file and converting
it to an mp3 and using that. I've done it a few times with great
success. A good program for that purpose is Ease MP3 Converter found at
www.audiotool.net. There are lots of others too.

I am having a problem creating a ringtone. I have converted a wave to
an MP3 and put that in my RAZR thru blue tooth. When I play it on the
RAZR it shows an error of corruption. The MP3 plays ok on my computer.
My question is; are there some special parameters such as size or bit
rate or some particular type of MP3 that the phone will accept? Thanks
