Hi:
Seriously depressed. Motorola v220 screen showing nothing but black
screen
and a multi colored object. The screen is shot. The unit itself works
fine - send and receive calls...
It is out of warranty - only bought it 12/24 from Cingular and they claim
that this problem is not covered by warranty.
Can the screen be replaced? Do I have options other than buying a new
phone?
Thanks.

Re: v220 screen problem
Hi again:
I see that screens can be purchased on ebay. Can someone describe the
physical details of the screen? Is it in 2 parts as the pictures on ebay
seem to show 2 halves. Is the screen easy to replace? Just connectors OR
is there more such as soldering.
Thanks.

Re: v220 screen problem
It's one piece not two. The pictures are showing fron and back of the
same thing to show that both the inner and outer display are included.
There is no soldering required. The units plug in.

Re: v220 screen problem
ot an email from a company that says there is an inner screen, front
screen and dual screen for the v220.
May I assume I can replace the inner screen only? No sense buying the outer
screen if I don't need a new one.
