I have an unlocked Moto V550 in use on the Tmobile network (prepaid).
I'm unable to find the place to enable auto update of time and date. The
    Moto V500 has this in Settings/Initial Update/Time & Date. The V550
doesn't offer that option there. Is it located elsewhere? Please let me
    know.

Looking at the manual for the v551, it says that IF you see and
Autoupdate feature under Time & Date, you can turn it on but the manual
implies that this might no be offered on every phone. Perhaps the
carrier that originally spec'd the phone doesn't offer it and had the
    feature disabled.

The carrier that the phone was originally programmed for probably did not
offer this feature and had it removed from the menu. Seem 0032_0001 controls
this and it can be restored with a data cable and appropriate software.
