Motorola BT Headset + Moto V505 = Lost connection

Can anyone suggest why my phone keeps losing the headset when it is idle?
I connect both and put them down
After varying amounts of time (between an hour and a half hour) the phone
will drop the headset
Is there anything I can do to stop this?
