v220 volume issues

Has anyone had any problem hearing on v220 (normal mode not speaker)? I
have replaced the phone once before and I am replacing it again (cingular
warranty). I also have a v551 and can tell there is a huge difference. I
know it's not just me, because the 220 is my wife's and the 551 is mine. I
talked to friend and she also had to replace her 220 for the same issue, but
her's cleared up with the replacement. I was wondering if this was a known
defect.

All 4 of my V220's have that problem. You can hardly hear a normal
conversation.
I am becoming a very good "knee driver" as I have to put my finger in my ear
while I am on the phone and driving.
Sure it looks silly, but it is the only way I can hear. And no, I do not
have excessive ear wax build-up.

Use seemplayer and p2kman to edit the gain_table just put volume up a couple
notches and you are laughing, a google search will find you the how-to.
