What is the putpose of the USB connection on this phone? I can't seem to
find any references to it, and would like to see if I can d/load a ringtone
to the phone from my PC. Is this possible?

You'll need a cable and Mobile Phone Tools software. You can find them
bundled on ebay pretty cheap. Any version of the s/w from 2.11 is fine
as it will upgrade itself to the latest version on installation.
