Recently purchased (slightly used) V3. Phone works great, and battery used
to last up to 3 days... until suddenly (in 2-3 days time) it went to barely
1 day usage. The weird thing is that _both_ batteries (I have two) went at
about the same time. I haven't changed my phone usage pattern (talktime
etc). The only thing I can think of is that I loaded a coupla Java games
into the phone via USB cable, and charged up phone at about the same time,
and battery life went downhill shortly afterwards.
What could have caused this?

Re: V3 battery woes
Funny - a guy at work told me how his brother-in-law got a Razor as well and
it wouldn't hold a charge.
Just got mine 4 days ago and even leaving it on 24/7 the battery charge
indicator indicates it has a 2/3 (6 days?)
charge left on it, meaning it will be close to the 290 hr standby time
advertised. Of course that was the first charge, so hopefully it will
improve a bit.
Maybe it was an earlier battery/hardware combo now corrected in the latest
models.

Re: V3 battery woes
The battery meter is not a linear indicator of time remaining. The
charge meter winds down more quickly as the power drains. Sort of like
the gas gauge in our cars.

I wonder if there is a newer flash/flex that improves battery life?
Alternatively, how about hi-capacity batteries? OEM one is just 680mAh.

You don't have the coffee cup icon showing constantly do you? Maybe a
game is running in the background.
Shut the phone off an pull the battery for a few minutes and try
again. Don't touch any of the games and see what happens for a few
days.
I do see odd things happen from time to time with this phone that are
fixed with a reboot.

Could be. I'll try a clean reboot and see what happens

Me too. Sometimes BT would shut down, and only reboot will fix this.
