recharge Razr thru USB?

I sort of assume that I can recharge the Razr thru my USB
port...however, I don't have an XP driver for the Razr and just
plugging it in does not show the charging symbol.

Do I need the driver for the recharge to work? Do I really have to pay
$29.95 just to get a driver?

Yes, you can charge it without drivers from a USB port if you have a 5 pin
mini USB.

I'm using a cable from my movie camera and it charges fine...

I can recharge my Motorola L2 through the mini-USB connector on my iMac, but only when I'm booted in Mac OS-- not Windows Vista. Go figure.

Looking for a driver to see if this will change anything.

I just found that Motorola has "PC charging drivers" on its web site for some phones:

But I found my L2 will recharge if I just install the regular USB drivers on the same page (apparently it enables the USB modem feature).
