You know, anything intelligent you may have to contribute is negated by your
adolescent sig. Grow up, child...and support the President who is trying to
    keep us safe from terrorists.

As much as I hate to continue this thread, I have to agree with Michelle.

Since politics has very little to do with this thread and NG, may I
suggest that the politcal comments and debates be posted on a more
    appropriate forum?

Is there a point to this post? This has been known ever since the V710
    came out.

Ya' know the Navy thought I was able to think well enough to command an
F/A18 attack wing on numerous combat missions over Iraq and Kuwait. This was
from an aircraft carrier in the Persian Gulf as part of Operation Desert
Shield and Desert Storm where we were protecting even you and your ilk from
harm. And yes I've been shot at and yes I've been hit.

A simple apology to me an every other military person in the NG would be
    appropriate.

The president's an idiot, and people who *order* *anyone* to support him
are, at best, misguided in doing so.

    a) I will support the troops until the day I die. Period, full stop.

    b) However, I don't agree with most of the reasons for which our country has
gone to war over the past fifteen years.

Statement (a) and statement (b) are not mutually exclusive. There are a lot
    of brave people fighting in our military. Some of them are friends of mine;
others are family members. Most of them are people I have never met and will
never have the privilege of meeting. (And yes, I do consider it a privilege.)

Most of them shouldn't be doing what they're doing right now. But that is
most certainly *not* their fault. Why they shouldn't be there is a
discussion that is way off-topic for these newsgroups, although if someone
really wants to argue with me in email, I welcome replies to this message.
Just not here. (If there is a more appropriate newsgroup in which to discuss
this, I'll be happy to post there instead.)

You know, anything intelligent that you may have to contribute is negated by
your adolescent reply. Grow up, child. At least for the time being, people
are allowed to have differing political views. Disagreeing with yours
doesn't make one immature. Stamping one's feet and calling people names
because you disagree with their politics, on the the other hand, does.
