Once again, I missed a call because that side button hit my case and
switched to "Silent". Any ideas about how to disable the darned thing?

I'm set to Vibrate & Ring and don't ever intend to change it (on
airplanes, I just shut it down). I'm really getting sick of this.

    Thanks all,
    John

A small drop of superglue, applied extremely carefully, should do the trick.

When I first got mine I noticed that the edge of the case would push that
button on. I got a nail file and filed away enough of the edge on the case
so that it would not rub. Try that.

Just go to settings>security>lock application and lock the ringstyles, or
you can seemedit and enable the lock keypad function so all you have to do
    is hit Menu>*

I also considered a hose clamp around it. I locked the app but would
like to simply disable the damn thing. I can't find a seem edit
that'll do that. I think your idea's about the best I've received.

I think through software you can retask the button to something else that
    won't interfere with the ringers.

I think the only side button you can re-assign by seem editing is the
"smart"button, the volume keys have always been a pain for some people. I
use a belt holster so have never had a problem with them thankfully.
