question about voice dialing on v180

I saw this as a potential fix for the problem of getting a "voice dial"
shortcut to come up on my right soft key.......

Go to Menu/Settings/Personalize/Home Screen/Home Keys/Right Soft
Key/Voice Dial and then tap the END call key to get back to the home
screen. Now you should see V. Dial above the right soft key. Tap that
key and you should see the moving indicator waiting to hear your dialing
name. Speak it and it should dial. Voila!

.....but that does NOT work for me, because "voice dial" is not in the
list when I am trying to personalize my "home keys." Is there any way I
could get the "voice dial" to come up in my personalize list? I don't
want to use that other shortcut trick, where you have to hold down two
buttons at once, it's a pain. By the way I have Cingular.
